Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11.1

We live at a time when many people say that they will only believe in what they can see or touch.

They will only believe in material things. But human experience tells us that life is not only material but also spiritual. There is more than time and space. There is eternity!

For two thousand years, Christians have believed that in Jesus Christ, the material and spiritual uniquely came together in one person. We believe that in the face of Jesus, we see the face of God.  Jesus Christ is not a legend or a myth but a real person who lived in history. He lived, taught, healed and changed people’s lives. He died on the cross for the sins of the world then rose again from the dead. His birth, life, death and resurrection are central to the Christian faith. We are given a new beginning and hope in this life and the promise of eternity with God.

Faith in Jesus Christ changes how we live our lives. Although we can’t see him or touch him, Jesus promises to be with us always. He is the source of our strength, our joy and our hope.

Jesus said “I have come that you might have life and life in all its fullness”

John 10:10

For it is the God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:6

Jesus said “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”

John 14: 6-7
